Bridesmaid Proposal Gift Box Details
Happy Wedding Wednesday! One of the aspects I’ve loved most about planning our wedding was asking the people closest to us to be a part of our big day. It was so special for me to ask my friends and family to be my bridesmaids. When I “proposed” (I feel silly even saying that) to each bridesmaid, I gave each one a personalized gift box filled with little presents inside. I do want to add a disclaimer and say that you absolutely do not have to give gifts when you ask your bridesmaids to be in your wedding, so don’t feel like you have to do that.
I personally just love giving gifts so I knew this was the perfect opportunity to present them with a little present. I wanted to share with y’all how I put together my bridesmaid proposal gift/box. I’ve linked to every product I used in my box above and I’ve added some details about each product below along with the etsy shops.
For the gift box, I went and got glossy white collapsable gift boxes that were magnetic at The Container Store. The dimensions of the boxes that I got were: 7″ x 5-1/2″ x 2″ h. These boxes are so perfect, I honestly want to go buy more for myself because you can reuse them for anything. They also were really durable because the sides were thick. And the best part is, that when you’re not using them they fold flat so they don’t take up much space.
On the outside of each box I placed a decal of each person’s name. I ordered these stickers from the LittleLovesDesigns etsy shop. I ordered the stickers in the color: Gold Glitter and size: 1.5 inches.
I placed the “Will you be my bridesmaid?” decal on the inside of the lid so that whenever they opened the box up they could clearly read the sticker. You are also able to customize the decal to say “maid of honor” as well. I ordered this decal from the BlueSparrowSundry etsy shop. The color: Metallic Gold and size: 4 x 4 1/4 inches.
I purchased my ring and personalized calendar cookies from the Scookies etsy shop. I ordered one dozed cookies and I was able to customize my order by telling the owner that I only wanted 6 ring cookies and 6 calendar cookies. They are sugar cookies that are made from scratch and each cookie comes wrapped in a cellophane bag with a bow. The owner does ask to allow for 3-4 weeks from creation to ship out for delivery. All cookies are non-refundable and she does her best to ensure the cookies don’t break while they are being delivered. My cookies had lots of bubble wrap around them and they all arrived in one piece. They were the cutest things and I highly recommend ordering from this seller!
The other little present inside the box was a mini bottle of Rosé. I soaked each bottle in warm water and peeled off the label that came on the bottle. When the bottle was dry I added the personalized wine bottle label that I ordered from the LabelWithLove etsy shop. The label I chose had a cute definition of a bridesmaid/maid of honor and asked them if they would be my bridesmaid at the bottom. I love that each label was customized depending on the role (bridesmaid or maid of honor), relationship (sister, friend, cousin, etc.), and name of each person. I ordered my labels with a gold accent stripe. Definitely check out their etsy shop because they have so many different labels that come in all sizes and designs.
The hair ties are from the ElasticHairBandz etsy shop. Each one came with two elastic hair ties around a piece of cardboard that said “Will you help me tie the knot?” at the top and “To have & to hold your hair back” at the bottom. The two colors I ordered were Ivory & Tan but you can customize the colors of each hair tie. These hair ties are soft and stretchy and are more gentle on your hair compared to most hair bands.
Lastly, I ordered a lippie from Colour Pop for each person and added some shredded paper filler at the bottom of each gift box. It was a pretty tight squeeze to get everything to fit in the box, so my advice to you is to make sure everything will fit in your gift box before you buy them.
All I gotta say is thank goodness for Etsy! BLESS!!!
