Christmas Pop-Up Bar: Miracle on Monroe

Outfit Details: Gingerbread Ugly Sweater | Black Jeggings | Slip-On Sneakers

Happy Monday everyone! This past weekend was really busy and exciting! On Saturday my alma matter, UGA, played in the SEC championship game for a chance to make it to the College Football Playoffs (even though we lost it was still a great game) and yesterday we went to a Christmas Pop-Up Bar in Atlanta with a group of our friends. It honestly felt so weird going out on a Sunday night…it felt like I was in college again! It was so much fun wearing ugly Christmas sweaters and getting in the holiday spirit! I wore this junior sized gingerbread man sweater and I ordered one size up and it fit perfectly.

We decided to go on a Sunday night since it’s one of the least busiest nights. I highly recommend going on any other night besides Friday and Saturday because they have 2-3+ hour waits just to get in on those nights.

Miracle actually has a chain of Christmas themed pop-up bars around the country and the first one was in NYC. Due to the success of that one, they decided to expand to a bunch of cities across the country, thus Miracle on Monroe was born. This was the first location in Atlanta (located at the Tapa Tapa restaurant) and now they have a second location in Inman Park, Miracle on Highland (located at Parish restaurant). We went to Miracle on Monroe but I hear the other location is also great!

Inside the bar is filled with Christmas lights, Christmas decor and it’s all topped off with the best Christmas playlist. They even had a projection of the movie, Elf, playing behind the bar. For their drinks they offer 10 different Christmas themed cocktails as well as a Naughty and a Nice shot. The Miracle on Monroe location also offered a snack menu with various sweet and savory choices (not sure if the Highlands location offers one or not).

Every night they are open, the bar opens up at 5 so we got there around 4:30 on a Sunday evening and were the second group in line. We honestly got there just in time because the line was probably already an hour deep by the time the bar actually opened. The bar was always packed and the service was still really good!

Between our group, we were able to try every drink on the menu. I really like that certain drinks come in specific mugs/glasses that are all Christmas themed. Our favorites were the Bad Santa, Yippie Ki Yay Mother*****r, Christmas Carol Barrel and the Run Run Rudolph.

It was so much fun! The drinks and the atmosphere were amazing and it really got me in the Christmas spirit! We’re going to try and make this a yearly activity with our friend group because we all enjoyed it so much! I highly recommend going if you can!
